Technology-driven products such as mobile payments, digital wallets, robo-advisors, and crypto-currencies are rapidly being integrated into the traditional financial world, making technology skills that align with the evolving needs of the financial service industry highly valuable for students and future employers.

The new Master of Financial Technology (MFT) program will address those needs by forging a new interdisciplinary teaching and research path, with a multi-department curriculum encompassing financial analysis, computational methods, and business analytics.

The MFT program is designed for current Iowa State University students or professionals who are looking to come back to school full-time to retool or make a career shift. Delivered on campus, it can be completed by taking 10 classes — five in computer science and five in finance and business analytics.
