The Graduate and Professional Student Senate (GPSS) represents the graduate and professional students' perspective on campus issues and serves as a liaison between graduate/professional students and the university administration. Each department is permitted to have at least one GPSS representative. Take a look here and see if your department is being represented.

The GPSS is also responsible for Professional Advancement Grants (PAG). PAGs support travel to conferences or professional meetings and for research outside of a person's degree program.

are held in the GPSS Office in the West Student Office Space of the Memorial Union

Becoming a Senator

GPSS is now seeking new Senators for the 2012-2013 term. Please fill out the verification forms found at the bottom of this page. Most departments vote on Senators or they are appointed through the graduate department organization, if one exists.Take a look here and see if your department is being represented. To determine how Senators are selected for your department, please contact your DOGE or the individual in your department responsible for graduate affairs.
