This online workshop will provide you with the tools and resources you need to be successful in your new role.

  • Policies, practices, and resources for effective teaching and learning at Iowa State University.
  • Potential challenges to student success and various campus resources for student support.
  • Graduate College services, support, and development opportunities available to teaching assistants.

What will you do?

  • Work with other TAs in breakout rooms to solve potential classroom scenarios on various topics such as academic integrity, classroom management, and inclusivity.
  • You will have the opportunity to ask questions and get advice from a panel of Dean of Students Office (DSO) experts.

This workshop is for you if:

  • You are a new TA at Iowa State University
