My name is Junmarie Soto-Burgos and I am a Ph.D. student in the Genetics and Genomics program. I am from Rio Grande, Puerto Rico and I first came to Iowa State as an REU student in Diane C. Bassham's Lab. After my great research experience I earned the AGEP fellowship to come to Iowa State for my graduate studies. I am very happy about my work in Diane C. Bassham lab and my fellowship. My research focuses on the regulation of the autophagy pathway in Arabidopsis thaliana. Since I've been in Iowa State I have enjoyed the quiet environment and the friendly people.
