Microsoft Word is one of the more common word processing programs used in creating theses/dissertations. Below is information about using Microsoft Word to create your thesis/dissertation.

IT Services provides Microsoft Word for Thesis classes every sememster. If you cannot attend a class, IT Services also provides online videos of the class.

Saving your thesis/dissertation as a PDF

All theses/dissertations are required to be in PDF format. Proquest (our printing partner) provides a free online PDF converter available after the creation of your account. Adobe Acrobat Professional is another popular option.

Note: The PDF converter in Microsoft Word 2007 does not properly embed fonts in documents and should not be used.
