ITS Short Courses and Online Videos

• Description: IT Services offers free short courses each semester on LaTeX thesis, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other supported applications. They also offer online vidoes for preparing your thesis in Microsoft Word and LaTeX.

Solution Center

• Description: They provide assistance for current students with software related questions when formatting your ETDs.  Assistance with supported software is available at no charge for current Iowa State students and employees.

UMI/ProQuest

ProQuest ETD Application

• Description: UMI/ProQuest is the company that developed the ETD submission application.  If you have trouble creating a ProQuest account, or submitting your thesis, they will be able to assist.

Thesis Office

• Description: The Thesis Office reviews all electronic theses/dissertations to make sure they are ready for publication. After you submit your ETD through ProQuest, you will get an e-mail from the Thesis Office letting you know if your ETD has been accepted. This may take several days, especially if your thesis is incorrectly or carelessly formatted. If you have questions about the process or submission, the Thesis Office can help.
