About Elena Cotos

Elena Cotos directs the Graduate College International TA Program at Iowa State University.

She also teaches in the TESL/Applied Linguistics and Technology Program.

Elena has a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Technology and an MA in Philology. Her research interests include automated writing evaluation, intelligent/computer-assisted language learning and assessment, genre analysis, and learner corpora.

Elena has taught Linguistics and ESL/EFL courses both at Iowa State and abroad.

She served as a Language Tester for the Peace Corps and as a Translator/ Interpreter for the United Nations Development Program. More...
