Mission

Our mission is to support international graduate students with teaching appointments and to help them improve their communicative competence and their ability to participate in a variety of instructional roles at Iowa State University. Our commitment to promoting and ensuring teaching excellence is realized through identifying and addressing the challenging needs of International TAs by means of testing, instruction, and support. Our assessment procedures are informed by theory and research in language testing, and our courses exercise best practices in oral communication pedagogy. We also strive to enhance our support and services with cutting-edge technology.
