Mission

Our mission is to support international graduate students with teaching appointments and to help them improve their oral communicative competence and their ability to perform a variety of instructional roles at Iowa State University. Our commitment to promoting and ensuring teaching excellence is realized through identifying and addressing the immediate needs of International TAs by means of assessment, instruction, and support. Our assessment procedures are informed by theories and research in language testing, and our courses exercise best practices in oral communication pedagogy. We also strive to enhance our support and services with the help of cutting-edge technologies.
