David Correll, a Ph.D. student in Business is the co-founder and Director of Administration of the ISU BioBus. The BioBus project stemmed from another innovative initiative that was launched by the sustainable agriculture campus group Correll founded two years ago.

Correll completed his BS in international relations from George Washington University in 2001 where he focused on the role that international economics played in the fiscal management of countries in the former Soviet Union. After college, Correll worked for two years as an oil and gas economist at the U.S. Department of Energy in Washington D.C., and one year as an analyst at a Russia-focused oil and gas consultancy based in New York City.

In 2005, David arrived at Iowa State to earn his master of science in economics under Dr. Mike Duffy, with co-majors in sustainable agriculture and biorenewable resources and technologies.

Correll is specializing in supply chain management and is working with Dr. Yoshi Suzuki and Dr. Bobby Martens. His dissertation topic is novel supply chain design for biorenewable fuels that harness the environmental and logistical benefits of biodiversity on the landscape.
