For Faculty Mentors

Crucial to the success of all McNair programs is the faculty mentor. One of the federal mandates of the McNair program is that each scholar has a faculty mentor to guide him/her throughout the research process to begin and complete a research project. In addition, the faculty mentor should also provide assistance with other program activities.

If you have been asked by a McNair scholar to serve as his/her faculty mentor, please review our Guidelines and Expectations of Faculty Mentors. You will be asked to sign a Faculty Mentor Agreement form if you decide to mentor one of our scholars.
