Examinations/Required FormsUnless otherwise noted, ALL students receiving a graduate degree must complete the examinations and submit the documents listed below. Additional diagnostic, qualifying, and/or other examinations and documents may be required by individual departments and programs. SPEAK/TEACH TEST[Required of all non-native English speakers who will have teaching responsibilities (either as a TA or in another capacity)] Take before teaching responsibilities begin. Graduate English ExaminationNon-native English speakers: Take before the beginning of first semester of enrollment (in addition to TOEFL). Recommendation for Committee Appointment form(available in program offices or from Graduate College website) Submit as early as possible but no later than the semester before the preliminary oral examination (for Ph.D. students) or the final oral examination (for all other students) Program of Study (POS) form(available in program offices or from Graduate College website) Submit as early as possible after the committee has been approved by the Graduate College, but no later than the semester before the preliminary oral examination (for Ph.D. students) or the final oral examination (for all other students) Preliminary Oral Examination [Ph.D. students only]
Application for Graduation (Diploma Slip)(available in program offices or from Graduate College website) Submit at the end of the first week of classes of the semester of graduation (Fall and Spring) or by the last day of Spring semester for Summer graduation Final Oral Examination
Thesis Forms(to be turned in with or before final submission of thesis)
Graduate Student Approval Slip for Graduation(sent to the students program or major professor when the Request for Final Examination is approved) Obtain first signature and bring to Graduate College for final 2 signature(s) (with final copies of thesis or dissertation, if applicable), after final oral examination and no later than the deadline date for the semester of graduation. |
