When you need a break from academics, Iowa State offers plenty of choices for recreation. The ISU Recreation Services provide fitness programs, outdoor recreation, intramural sports, sports clubs, and state-of-the art recreation facilities.

If you are interested in intercollegiate athletics, Iowa State’s teams compete in the Big Twelve Conference. For ticket information and all the news about your favorite teams, check out the official Iowa State University athletics web site.

Other entertainment opportunities abound in the Ames area. If you are accustomed to theater and the arts, big-name entertainers, symphonies, museums, ballet and rock concerts, then you will feel right at home at Iowa State. Many of these events as well as ISU's major sporting events, take place on campus at the Iowa State Center.
